Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 21: VHP today urged the Centre to take a tough stance against Pakistan in view of its misadventures on International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in J & K for over last two months.
The Government of India should shun its weak kneed policies and take a tough action against Pakistan for its misadventures on border and LoC in J&K as the continuous shelling across the border ahs made the life of people living along LoC and IB totally miserable, VHP State president Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today.
He said panic has gripped in all the villages along IB and LoC and the people don't know which bullet will kill them and when as total uncertainty prevails there after the violation of cease fire by Pakistan. Making a strong dig at Union Government Dr Dubey said who was responsible for the border problem since 1947 in general and since in 1989-90 after terrorism gripped the State in particular?
Indian leaders played much dubious role in this regard, he said adding as they always adopted a soft approach towards Pakistan and the neighbouring country taking full advantage of it is exploiting the situation to its advantage. He while questioning the visit of Union Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Schinde to J&K to assess the situation on IB and LoC said this is hardly going to serve any purpose and lessen the miseries of border people in the State among whom some villages have migrated for security and safety and others are thinking on same lines.
He said it has been a routine affair that during such situation Central teams visit the State to assess the situation and leave but they have never bothered to find an everlasting solution to the problem. ``It appears that Centre has made J&K an experimental State as all conspiracies are hatched at its soil.
Expressing concern over the plight of border people he said those who migrated have not been provided any facility and the administration did not bother to visit these migrants to provide relief etc to them.
The Army should be given orders to cross border and attack Pakistan, he said, adding till action is not taken against Pakistan situation will not improve. Criticising the peace proposal, he said this will serve no purpose and such talks have failed result in past as well.
Maintaining that J&K is an integral part of India , Dr Dubey said that any one who challenges the same should be sued in court of law for treason. He said it is pity that Pakistan which is a small country is showing its dirty teeth to India. He said if Home Minister ahs guts he should order troops to take action against Pakistan. He also demanded immediate constitution of Border Defence Committees (BDC) to fight on infiltrators from across.
