| Mig 21 fighter jet makes emergency landing | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 21: A MiG-21 fighter-jet of Indian Air Force (IAF) today escaped miraculously after it developed a mid air technical snag and was forced for emergency landing during a practice flight. Official sources told Kashmir based news agency KNS, that the Mig 21 left the technical airport at around 3:00 pm but the pilot was forced to make emergency landing after he detected some technical snag after its take off. "The aircraft had to make an emergency landing at around 3.30 PM," sources told KNS. Terming the landing safe sources said that there was no loss of life in the incident. Pertinently, in December 2002, a MiG-21 fighter aircraft of IAF crashed into a house near the local air base here, killing a man and injuring his son. |
