| Workshop on NAEP inaugurated | | | early times report Jammu, Oct 21: A workshop of National Adolescence Education Programme (NAEP) was inaugurated by AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region at the Auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, today. Forty teachers from twenty KVs of the KVS, Jammu Region participated in this workshop. Rao welcomed with the presentation of bouquet by Usha Shamendra, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region. Dr. B C Dwivedy, venue Principal formally welcomed the chief guest AVLJ Rao and other guests. The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and recitation of Sanskrit Shlokas. Vidyalaya students presented welcome song on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion Usha Shamendra, Assistant Commissioner & Director of the Workshop, highlighted the objectives and need of such programmes. She told that mis-concepts regarding the adolescence issues will be made clear during this workshop. She added that a need is there to bring a change in attitude and broaden the vision to understand the needs of the adolescents particularly the boys and girls who are seeking education in Kendriya Vidyalayas. In his address AVLJ Rao delved deep into the issues related to the needs of adolescents and to resolve their problems with their own cooperation.
