SRINAGAR, Oct 21: As exchange of firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in many parts of Jammu division and on International Border (IB) continues, the statements of Chief Minister and Saif-ud-Din Soz according to the Bhartiya Janata party (BJP) state wing are meant for vote bank politics and contrary to the statements of their in house members who often issue statements against Army.
Within minutes after chief Minister, Omar Abdullah called for a tough action against Pakistan for firing indiscriminately on Indian forces and attacking civilian areas along the line of control and at international border as well, The office bearers of BJP state wing while terming the statement of chief minister as mere a methodology of vote bank politics said that national conference and state Congress after knowing the future of their parties in Jammu division and office bearers of both the parties being aware of the ground reality of their destiny pre and post 2014 assembly elections have already started playing vote bank politics with the Jammu people by using the present border tension in Jammu division as a political tool.
Talking to early times, BJP state president Jugal Kishore said that not only the statement of chief Minister is contrary to what his uncle, Dr Mustafa Kamaal says who according to him left no stone unturned to accuse Indian Army for everything happening in Kashmir, but the recent statements of state Congress president, Saif-ud-Din Soz and chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has come at a time when Pakistan is attacking the Indian forces and civilians areas mostly in the division.
He said that because both the parties feel that they exist nowhere in Jammu division and it is high time that they should play with the emotions of people of Jammu on border tensions and won the sympathy of people by merely issuing statements against Pakistan. "Mere statements won't win votes for Congress, N.C in Jammu as people of jammu are aware of the achievements of both these parties in previous years, so they cannot befool the common masses this time," said Jugal Kishore.
He also said that though the recent statement of Saif-ud-Din Soz and today's statement of chief Minister are appropriate keeping in view the repeated ceasefire violation attempts by Pakistan on border but at the same time it is astonishing also that the same people who are issuing statements against Pakistan for violating ceasefire agreements today had not only maintained silence when Pakistan was pushing infiltrators inside Indian territory but they were using the language of separatists by claiming that the truce of accession was not a permanent solution.
Senior BJP member also said that national conference has deliberately assigned a job to Dr Mustafa Kamaal to issue statements against the Army and won the sympathy of people from some pockets of Kashmir and he is performing the job fairly by issuing statements repeatedly and is accusing the Army who is not securing him only but had also saved his family since decades in Kashmir.
The reaction of BJP has come after Saif-ud-Din Soz on his party convention at Srinagar yesterday send a message for Pakistan Prime Minister to handle the Pakistan Army and also after today chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in a police function said that Centre should think of other options in case Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire along the line of control, Omar Abdullah also hit out at Pakistan's call for international intervention on the Kashmir issue by adding that India will not accept any foreign intervention on the Kashmir issue.
