sports reporter SRINAGAR, Oct 26: Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Central Kashmir Range, Syed Afad-ul-Mujtaba today declared open the Srinagar Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by J&K Police in association with Airtel at Delhi Public School, Pantha Chowk, here. Speaking to the participating teams and other distinguished gathering, DIG said, "J&K Police is providing a platform to the youth of the state to harness their capabilities in the field of sports and explore their talent." In all, 18 teams of the district are participating in this knock-out tournament. Out of these teams, top two teams shall participate in the range level tournament. Among others present were SSP Srinagar, Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, SP South, Imtiyaz Ismail, SP West, Tejander Singh, SDPO West, Rajiv Panday and SDPO Kothibagh, Peerzada Naveed. |
