| DGP exposes Geelani's propaganda on curbed religious freedom | | ‘Prove your representative character by contesting elections’ | | early times report
Jammu, Oct 26: The State police has exposed the propaganda of hardliner ultra fascist Sayed Ali Shah Geelani by challenging him to offer prayers at any place rather than only at Hazartbal . Police also challenged him to prove his representative character by contesting elections.
Geelani , who has earned notoriety for inciting violence, has been blaming the government to put him under house arrest. He had alleged that his even religious rights are being curbed by the 'oppressive' government.
In an interview to the Srinagar based local news agency DGP Ashok Parsad said it's not correct to say that
Geelani has been placed under house arrest . DGP said his restriction has been restricted only as per the rule of law and he can offer prayers even at Hyderpora Masjid but Geelani only insists on offering prayers at place where chances of violence are maximum.
Geelnai who holds the delusion that Kashmir would finally become part of the Pakistan and also that it strict Islamic laws would be imposed in this part of the Kashmir, has been looking for ways to not only incite violence but also to make himself relevance.
Geelani by insisting a place of prayers, which he knows government won't allow him, is trying to rake up passion that in Kashmir even religious freedom is being curbed.
This is the propaganda he has been trying to so hard to propogate but has been consistently getting exposed though he tries to be relevant in a section of Kashmir, which still believes in relevance of Geelnai.
DGP also said Geelani doesn't have any representative base in the entire Kashmir and knowing this fact that he and other separatists will not contest elections. Geelani who had once contested election and has also beend drawing pension as former legislator has since then changed the track of being separatists.
He knows that people will not vote for him and if he dares to contest elections his presumed and so called popularity would be exposed and this is something he doesn't want to do at the fag end of his life. |
