Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26: Maintaining that Accession of J&K with Indian Union is full and final VHP today made a strong dig at Chief Minister , Omar Abdullah for his recent outbursts against merger and challenging the same.
Observing the 66th Accession Day at VHP Headquarters here today its State President Dr Ramakant Dubey paid glorious tributes to those patriots who laid down their lives since 1947 for protecting national unity and integrity and defeating the nefarious designs of Pakistan and separatists hell bent on secession of the State from Indian Union.
He said every nationalist Indian is committed not to let the sacrifices of these martyrs to go waste and they committed to defeat the nefarious designs of Pakistan as well as those elements within the Country who pose a challenge to national Unity and integrity.
Dr. Dubey also paid glorious tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh and described him a great patriot and Indian. He said the instrument of accession signed by him and ratified by constituent Assembly of J&K can't be challenged. "Those who challenge the accession of J&K with India are negating the Constitution of J&K itself", he added.
He said the issue has been settled in 1947 when Maharaja signed the instrument of Accession which was later ratified by State Assembly. He said if there is any dispute with Pakistan that is over PoK which has been forcefully occupied by Pakistan and which has given a portion of that territory to China.
Dr. Dubey urged the Union Government to exert pressure on Pakistan and ask it to get its forces vacated from PoK instead of resorting to border shelling. He held the weak-kneed policies of GOI responsible for border shelling and said Pakistan was again trying to internationalize the issue.
On the occasion the National Flag was unfurled at VHP office and a solemn pledge was taken by its activists and activists of Bajrang Dal to devote themselves in protecting National Unity and integrity.
