| Bhandari demands college for Padder | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Oct 26: Chairman, Chinar Power Projects Workers Union Kishtwar, Joginder Bhandari has demanded grant of Govt. Degree College for Paddar which is a burning issue of the area. He said that every year about 400 to 450 students after passing HS Part-II from Govt. Higher Secondary School Atholi have to leave their further studies due to the non-availability of Degree College in the area. He also said that the students of Paddar who have sought their admission in Govt. Degree College Kishtwar are putting up in a rented accommodation where they are charged Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000 as a rent per month which every student cannot effort. He said that majority of the people in Padder belongs to Labour class and cannot efforts education of their children's outside home under present system. He also said that MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo made several representations to the Chief Minister as well as to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the grant of Degree College for Paddar, but it is a matter of great concern they didn't take any care of it despite of repeated representations made by Mr. Kichloo. He urged upon the MLA Kishtwar to hold talks with the Chief Minister in respect of grant of Degree College for Paddar so that the students of the area may not suffer any more and the poor students also continue their further studies in future. |
