| J&K Forest wins, to meet PDC XI in final | | | sports reporter
SRINAGAR, Oct 26: Jammu and Kashmir Forest XI today registered an impressive 2-1 win to set the stage for an interesting final against another professional side of J&K Bank in the J&K State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC) Football League of DFA Srinagar at Polo Ground, here on November one at 3 pm.
Earlier, in the semifinal, played today, PDC XI took the first lead when Amanjot Singh netted the ball in the 48th minute. But, they could not hold the advantage for long and conceded a goal in the 67th minute to find the score leveled at 1-1.
Imran Ahmad provided the Forest XI the morale boosting break. It was followed by the dilly dallying battle from both the side for a lead.
And, finally luck favoured Forest XI, who went ahead in the 84th minute with Shahid scoring the much needed goal to make it a 2-1 win. Now, in the final, scheduled for November one, J&K Forest shall be playing against J&K J&K Bank at 3 pm. |
