Jammu, Oct 28: Sleuths of Vigilance Organization Jammu (VOJ) laid a trap and arrested a Patwari with the graft of Rs 5,000 red handed. From his possession, the VOJ sleuths recovered Rs 25000 more. The amount which was recovered from his possession is stated to be the part of graft he took from other people. Sources said that based on the complaint lodged by one Vijay Kumar of Toph that the Patwari namely Dinesh Singh alias Dara of RS Pura posted at Patwar Khana Toph demanded Rs 25000 from him as graft for Virasat Intikal.
SSP vigilance constituted a team included Ravinder Salgotra, DySP, Himmat Singh, Kamal Sangra and Bantu Choudary, all Inspectors and laid a trap and arrested him with the graft of Rs 5000.
During frisking, police recovered Rs 25000 more from his pocket which is stated to be the graft money. He was later lodged to the Pacca Danga police station for further legal action. |
