| Third Front all set for launch on Oct 30 | | | Javaid Naikoo
SRINAGAR, Oct 28: With just two days left for the first important convention of the third front at Srinagar, members have decided to choose a name for the Third Front and make public the common minimum programme after officially launching it as another political platform at state level on October 30. The sources within third front revealed to Early Times that in its first meetings held at Srinagar today, the members of Third Front unanimously decided to give a particular name to Third Front on the pattern of a political party and officially make public the common minimum programme during the convention on October 30 held at Sher-i-Kashmir park in Srinagar.
Sources said in today's meeting after day long deliberations on different issues held at Gupkar Residence of Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM) state secretary, Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami it was decided that Third Front must be introduced as another political platform with a particular name among the general public as soon as possible keeping in view the environment of political activism going across the state ahead of forthcoming Assembly elections these days.
A joint statement issued in this regard for the public interest from the office of M.Y Tarigami on behalf of all the senior members of Third Front it was disclosed that an important convention on socio-economic and political situation is being held at Sher-i-Kashmir Park Srinagar on October 30, 2013 at 12:00 noon, wherein some important announcements with regard to future course of action will be made.
It was also mentioned in the statement that Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami State Secretary CPI (M), Hakim Mohammad Yasin president PDF, Abdul Rashid Kabuli President JKNDF, Sheikh Abdul Rehman State President Samajwadi Party, I D Khajuria president IDP, Abdul Rehman Tukru state secretary CPI and Sanjay Saraf leader Lok Janshakti Party will address the convention on October 30 in Sher-i-Kashmir park.
Sources also said that many senior political activists who are willing to merge in Third Front along with their party workers and supporters have been informed about the important convention of 30th October and as reported already by Early Times after confirming from the sources within Third Front that some senior politicians are likely to join Third Front in its first convention in Srinagar and likewise some others are joining Third Front during its second convention which will be held in Jammu soon.
Meanwhile, senior member of Awami National Conference, Muzafar Shah whose name appeared in many statements issued by the members of Third Front jointly according to the sources have been sidelined from the Fhird Front after his thought process regarding many issues associated with the amalgam could resembled with rest of the members of the front. While as talking to Early Times, Muzafar Shah on phone from Delhi said that he is not joining the members of Third Front during its first convention likely to be held in Srinagar, however he is closely watching the progress of Third Front across the state, besides he is busy with the activities of his own political party, Awami National Conference. |
