Azad, Soz loyalists exchanges allegations, counter allegations

Kishtwar, Oct 28: A day after District Congress President Kishtwar and his supporters having proximity with JKPCC President Saif-ud-Din Soz leveled serious allegations against MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, his loyalists hit back saying the district president always tries to malign his image.
Saroori loyalists while targeting his opponent said that they are basically maligning the image of Saroori since they themselves did not stands anywhere to him nor enjoys the public support and asked the DCC President Kishtwar and others to refrain from using any derogatory remarks for Saroori.
Saroori supporters today held a meeting here under the leadership of State Secretary JKPCC Thakur Jughal Bhandari which was attended by several Congress leader including Mushtaq Ahmed Hap, Mohinder Singh Parihar, District President Congress Seva Dal Kishtwar Ravi Kumar, Chairman Himalayan Buddhist Association Padder Tashi Chering, Block Presidents Congress including Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, Iqbal Teli, Sarpanches Satish Kumar, Piyaray Lal Sharma, Noor Hussain, Kailash Chander, Hari Ram, President Sarpanch association block Chatroo Tariq Wani, President Sarpanch association block Drabshallah Iqbal Keen, President IYC Inderwal Mohammad Latief Mughal, VP IYC Inderwal Shaikh Basharat, Youth Leader from Kishtwar Suman Thakur and others.
During the course of the meeting, the speakers showed their great resentment over the statement of Pardeep Singh Parihar and by his supporters.
"So called Congress leaders including DCC President Pardeep Parihar, BCC President Ghulam Hassan Mir and Former youth President Sheikh Nasir were simply acting as a turn coat for opponents of Congress--- they have left no stone unturned to damage the image of Congress party, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Congress MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori during 2008 election time with the help of ruling party National Conference and are acting as "B" team of NC in the district," Congress leaders said.
"In 2009 elections they tempered with the poster of Former Chief Minister J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad and wrote against Azad and Congress party just to malign them" said congress leaders.
"We are giving open challenge to DCC President and others to organize a rally of at least 5,000 people here at chowgan. We know that they can't because masses have rejected them and have no footing in the general public" Congress said Congress leaders.
The Congress leaders described Saroori as a charismatic person not only in Inderwal constituency but in whole erstwhile Doda district.
"From the last 20 years people have seen popular, fame and Saroori's concern towards the people is so much that we can say he is doing justice with the people of Inderwal constituency as a public servant", Congress leaders said. They demanded immediate removal of Parihar from the post of District President Kishtwar on non performance bases. All the participants urged upon party High Command and incharge J & K Ambika Soni to depute central team to Kishtwar to check the facts on grounds.
The Congress leaders also appealed to high command to give Ghulam Haider Sheikh mandate back for the 2014 election and termed him as only hope for the lovers of Congress to regain the seat back which they never won since 1985 in which Ghulam Hassan Arman defeated the National Conference stalwart Bashir Ahmed Kichloo.
