JAMMU, Oct 27: Sailing on all-round performance from Irshad, Eleven Star today made it a big 52 runs win against BCC in the ongoing 2nd Eid Diwali Milan Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here.
Irshad, who earlier made 50 runs, took two wickets to restrict the opponent to a small total. Earlier, batting first, Eleven Star scored 166 runs for the loss of one wicket. Besides Irshad, Anand Tripathi also batted well contributing highest 76 runs. Sunil Sambyal contributed 19 runs. Nazir took the only wicket lost by Eleven Star.
Later, chasing the target, BCC could make 144 runs in allotted overs for six wickets. Kalu (23), Farman (15) and Talib (13) were main contributors. From Eleven Star, Irshad and Hony took two wickets each while Sambyal and Asif shared apiece each. For his 76 runs innings, Anand Tripathi was declared man of the match.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, RCC defeated Christian Sports in super over. Earlier, the match ended in a tie with Christian Sports matching the opponent total of 127 runs.
In another scheduled match of the day, Jammu Zymkhana defeated Eleven Star. Earlier, batting first, Eleven Star made 105 runs for seven wickets, which, in reply, Jammu Zymkhana chased in 15.3 overs. Amar of winners Zymkhana was declared man of the match. |
