JAMMU, Oct 28: Brilliant innings played by upcoming cricketer, Shubam Khajuria gone waste after Jammu and Kashmir suffered a five-wicket loss in the hands of formidable Delhi in the North Zone Vinoo Makand (U-19) Tournament at Jhajjar in Haryana today.
As per the reports reaching here, J&K, batting first, bowled out for 179 runs in 49.1 overs of the 50 overs game. Opener, Shubam Khajuria fought the lone battle and kept the one end intact to make 83 runs coming off 93 deliveries with the help of 10 boundaries and two sixes. Zaid Mohammad and AO Banday were other main contributors to the J&K total with 25 and 17 runs respectively. From Delhi, D Mathur remained most successful bowler with five for 30 runs in 11.1 overs.
In reply, Delhi chased the target of 180 runs for the loss of five wickets.
