Jammu, Oct 28 : Shanti Path Trust (SPT),Trikuta Nagar, Jammu in association with Department of Ophthalmology Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Indira Gandhi Government Dental College(IGGDC), Director Indian System of Medicines (ISM),CMO Jammu and Jan Chetna Rural Dev Forum organized a mega free medical camp at village Badsoo, block Dansal. This camp had services of seven specialists for the benefit of this remote area. Eight hundred and ninety two patients took advantage of this opportunity. The team of specialists and staff included Drs Amit and Avitesh (Eye) GMC, Rakesh Raina, Ishan Gupta, Mandeep Sharma and Hygenist Vinoo from IGGDC, Sheetal (ENT),Usha Bahau (Gynae),Vinay Khajuria (Physician) from CMO Jammu, Prerna and Sapna, Deepak (Phar) from Director ISM and Dr D P Sharma former Programmer Officer J&K AIDS Control Society. Dr Sumir Kaul BMO Dansal along with Dr Saroj Kotwal and Lab Tech Parul Sharma made camp activities more vibrant with full time presence. Fifteen cases of cataract were identified for operations which are being organized on 02 Oct 2013 at GMC and Dr Ashok K Sharma has kindly consented to conduct the operations. SPT in addition to facilitating various formalities at GMC, organizes, in hospital and post operative care like lenses, injections, dark glasses/medicines etc, for all eye patients since most of patients are very poor and come from remote villages. |
