Legal Metrology deptt books erring traders 10/28/2013 9:45:11 PM Early Times Report KATHUA, Oct 28: A team of Legal Metrology Department comprising Assistant Controller Ajay Verma alongwith Inspecter Legal Metrology Vicky Sharma conducted extensive checking of Sweet Shops, Karyana Shops, Vegetable Seller and Procurement Dealer at Kathua and adjoining areas. During the inspection 13 traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997. A total of 8 sweet shops were booked for less weighment of sweets to the consumers and a penalty of Rs 7000 was imposed on the erring traders.
