| YM urges administration to take stern action against dengue spread | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Oct 28: Youth Movement has urged the district administration and medical department to take stern action against the spreading of a fatal disease Dengue in Kathua and its adjoining area.
The members also highlighted worst condition of a Government Middle School (Boys) near Ramleela Ground at Kathua whose building is in a dilapidated or damaged condition since long and it is in need of immediate repair or reconstruction.
And large number of students of this school and other schools also forced to undergo the worst consequences of dengue spreading. In-spite of being broken and damaged building of Government Middle School (Boys), the ground in the premises of this school is totally lost and filled with water and providing breeding ground for mosquitoes. Spokesperson of YM Sanjeev Verma said that the Municipal Council Kathua was not in a position to tackle the threat of dengue, owing to lack of proper manpower and required equipment due to which major highly populated areas were being left their own.
"The school is just in front of KMC and behind the CMO office, where a pond, full of contaminated water can be witnessed", he said.
Movement also urged the private school owners to approach, MC and Health department for medicine spray in school premises and to aware the students to have preventive measures. |
