POONCH, Oct 28: The all-round performance from Khalid today guided LOC Club to a fine 24 runs win over Kings XI in the Shaheed Manjit Singh Twenty20 Cricket Tournament underway at Government Degree College (GDC) ground, here. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, LOC Club made 142 runs losing all their wickets. Khalid remained top scorer with 22-ball 32 runs while Govil contributed 26 runs. From Kings XI, Ranjeet claimed three wickets, followed by Pinku, who took two wickets. In reply, Kings XI could not chase the total and exhausted their quota of overs for 118 runs losing seven wickets. Satinder Pal Singh and Inder Pal Singh were main contributors with 28 and 18 runs in their respective accounts. From LOC Club, Khalid and Sonu bagged two wickets each. For his all round performance, Khalid was declared man of the match. Today's match was officiated by Sanjay Misra, Kewal Krishan, Gurvinder Singh, Ramesh Kumar and Tariq Khan. The ARTO Poonch, Virender Manyal and Deputy Superintendent of Police, S S Slathia were special guests. |
