| Austerity measures introduced for regular ration, kerosene supply in Kathua | | | | Kathua, Oct 28: To follow the directions of the Assistant Director Food and Supply Kathua, to bring the fair and justified distribution system for ration/kerosene oil to the right consumers, the Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) has convened a meeting of all the dealers at its office at Kathua secretariat here today and warned all the dealers to avoid any irregularities and misappropriations of the ration and kerosene oil which are meant for the registered consumers of Kathua. The action has come into force when Early Times news paper has surfaced lot of embezzlement in public ration and kerosene oil by the dealers at Kathua. It was first time when Director CAPD along with a team comprising of AD and TSO of the CAPD Kathua has conducted the surprise raid at various ration and kerosene depots and inspected the records and on finding the sheer violations of norms of CAPD and irregularities by the two dealers hailing from ward. 16 and ward.no.5, they were immediately suspended. Rajinder Singh a ration dealer of ward.no.16 and Subash a ration dealer of ward no. 5 failed to produce the exact records and data before the Director and put them under suspicion. Further an enquiry has also been ordered for causing irregularities and bungling at ration and kerosene depots at Kathua. While addressing the meeting, TSO stressed on the installing of display board in which rates, time schedule and record of number of genuine registered consumers be displayed in the front of depot so that consumers could be facilitated and not be harassed. If any dealer found guilty will be booked for, he warned. |
