JAMMU, Oct 28: Both the teams, scheduled to play in the opening match of the annual inter-college women's volleyball tournament, failed to report the organizers-Department of Sports and Physical, University of Jammu, here today.
In this five-day event, Government Degree College (GDC) Reasi were supposed to play against GDC Samba in the first game, but both the sides could make it to the venue thus kept the organizers waiting for long on the ground. "It has become a habit of the affiliate colleges of the JU not to send their teams for the competition even after confirming the entries well in advance," expressing his concern, an officer of the Department of Sports said.
