| International Committee of Red Cross foundation day celebrated | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Oct 29: District Red Cross Society Reasi in collaboration with District Information Centre Reasi today celebrated foundation day of International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) and organized a symposium "Role of Red Cross Society". The function was organized under the guidance of DDC Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal Chodhary. The main function was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary Reasi. Additional DC Reasi Rajinder Singh Tara was the chief guest on the occasion while PO DRDA was the coordinating officer of the program. GM DIC Krishan Lal, District Information Officer Parvinder Kour, AD Fisheries Bodh Raj, CDPO Pritam Lal Thappa, Principal GGHSS PD Sharma, staff of the GGHSS and students of school were also present.
Speaking on the event, Dr Jagdish Mehra informed that Red Cross has significantly contributed to the relief of human distress and misery and it is credited to provide life to millions of people all across the globe and has done a remarkable job in our district.
Additional DC said that the functioning of Red Cross Society has got a new life in district Reasi under the guidance of DDC Reasi , who is also the Chairman of District Red Cross Society Reasi. He urged students to develop awareness about Red Cross and also search for new ways to better serve the people who need help. |
