| ASCOMS organises eye check up camp | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 29: A free eye camp was organized by ASCOMS in collaboration with Batra Hospital Sidhra at Sri Hari Prabhu Ashray Nagrota Gujroo in Tehsil Billawar with an aim to provide better health care to the people living in remote and hilly areas. During the camp, a team of doctors led by Dr. Parshottma Sadhotra, HoD Opthamology ASCOMS checked up 180 patients who hailed from Billawar, Basholi and Ramnagar. Out of these patients, 35 patients were screened for cataract surgery who will be operated free of cost at Batra Hospital. Sanstha provides free transportation to such patients from Nagrota Gujroo to Jammu. Besides distribution of free medicines, 34 free spectacles were also given to poor/needy patients who had low vision or other visionary problems. These spectacles were sponsored by Kamal Eye Swastik Centre Nagrota Gujroo. Lt. General (Retd) L.P. Sadotra was the Chief Guest while I D Soni and Prof Satya Pal Shrivatsa were the guests of honour. General Secretary of Sanstha, SC Gupta expressed gratitude to the management of ASCOMS Hospital for rendering their missionary services by conducting such camps in the remote areas. |
