Samba, Oct 30: Locals in Samba today staged a protest under the leadership of Vinod Kumar (AYC President Samba) against erring power bills in front of Xen. PDD Deptt. Vijaypur.
Amid sloganeering against concerned authorities, a delegation led by AYC leader Vinod Kumar called on Xen PDD and urged him to dispatch the faulty bills after due rectification to the consumers. While talking to XEn PDD he complained that the PDD Dept issued the power tariff bills 60 to 70% hike.
Vinod Kumar also request to Xen Samba to install the electric meter and remove the old wire. Xen Samba assured the people that he will raise this issue in front of senior officers and next time people will get correct bills time to time.
Vinod Kumar also led the representation of people and put forth their grievance regarding the power bills to Deputy Commissioner Samba R.K.Verma.
The delegation comprises Baldev Raj (Panch), Thoru Ram, Khem Raj, Sukh Ram, Puranchand, Asha Puri, Vijay Kumar, Thoro Devi, Veena, Chaindevi and Gyan Chand. |
