| Shaken NC starts rumor mongering about PDP, Cong | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 30: National Conference reflected its nervousness on being on a slippery political wicket by trying to create confusion in the rank and file of People’s Democratic Party, the principal opposition party and the main challenger of NC especially in Kashmir. A NC leader said that about half-a-dozen PDP MLAs are about to leave the party and based his presumption on a strange figment of imagination rather than real political reasons. NC leaders based his theory of trifurcation of PDP on his assumption that since PDP patron Mufti SayEed has roots in Cong, liking for BJP and claims to messiah of people. Devender Rana though presumed that Mufti only took advantage from all the above facts for his personal advantage without doing much on the ground and thus not being sincere to anyone could be ground for trifurcation of PDP. Then by the same logic Abdullah family had also enjoyed power by being member of NDA even when Gujarat riot did take place but Omar Abdullah continued as a minister and that could be a reason for at least bifurcation of NC. However, the fact remains that there is not only simmering for bifurcation but rather the process of multiple division of party is already on. It has started to show signs also. NC MP Rattanpuri had already openly criticized Omar Abdullah, senior leaders who are close to Farooq Abdullah are feeling being victimised in the party and it's for this reason some of their leaderS have left the party and joined Cong. The process of deserting the NC has already started and its nervous leadership is now resorting to political rhetoric. As the state gradually enters in the state of political flux, PDP and Cong are emerging as two power centres around which leaders and voters are likely to gravitate and this is not music to the ears of NC leadership which has long lost touch with ground realities. This NC leader also hit out at the Congress, which is aiming to emerge as the largest political party, that it's committing political blunder by undermining the base of NC. NC leadership by hitting both at PDP and Congress has clearly shown its weakness. |
