| PDP holds workers meeting, chalks out strategies | | UPCOMING ELECTIONS | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 29: Intensifying its poll campaign in Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today held a workers meeting at Jammu West to discuss the modalities of the campaign. The meeting was organized by President Jammu -West Puneet Jamwal MLC Yash Pal and senior Rangeel Singh chaired the meeting. During meeting strategy for poll campaign was discussed in the meeting while party workers were asked to intensify the party activities on ground level and to establish constructive contact with general masses. They were also asked to hold public meetings on ward levels. MLC Yashpal Sharma said that despite running a coalition government in the State, both Congress and National Conference have divergent views on important issues. "It was all due to the lack of consensus between the two coalition partners that functioning of the government has been virtually stalled. Rangeel Singh expressed satisfaction over the fact that PDPs agenda of development was now seen positively not just in Kashmir Valley but in Jammu and Ladakh regions also'. "It is really a matter of satisfaction for our party that people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions have connecting themselves with PDP and this party has earned credibility and faith of the people of all regions and sub-regions of the state", he said. |
