| XII Class Examination: Students allege papers out of syllabus | | | Srinagar, Oct 30: Class 12th students who are appearing in their examinations in different streams that are conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) have alleged that most of the examination papers set for the students have been twisted and are out of syllabus. According to some students appearing ongoing class 12th examination and who approached Kashmir based news agency CNS, alleged that their examinations are proving nightmare for the students. "So far, three demonstrations too have been staged against the BOSE for the examination papers that are termed as 'out of syllabus', they added. Shortly before the demonstration staged by students appearing in subject Mathematics, some students who had appeared in their English paper (R-series) as regular candidates, said they were "shocked" to see questions out of the syllabus and majority of students failed to attempt most of the questions and it will certainly speak on their aggregate percentage.' "We were not expecting that Board of School Education authorities are so negligent about the examination as most of the questions were not only tough but of syllabus as well," said Nazir Ahmed, a student further stressing,. "they want re-examination of English paper." Some students who had appeared in Business Math paper on Wednesday, alleged that BOSE had set their examination paper out of syllabus while they could not do anything in this regard. They said that it was only after the protest registered by Math students that the matter came to limelight. Not only the students the parents too are worried over the issue and a father of a female candidate appearing for XII examination said, "He along with other parents had approached to Secretary BOSE in this regard. "Despite giving assurances, the BOSE did not do anything. Our children are perturbed and we seek justice for them," he lamented. Meanwhile when contacted, Secretary to BOSE, Reenu Goswami told news agency that expert committees have been constituted to look into the matter. "We are waiting for their expert opinions and it is only after getting their opinion, we would be able to take a decision," she said. (CNS) |
