| Div Com Chairs meeting to review fresh Fauji (Sainik) colonies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: Divisional Commissioner Jammu convened a high level meeting to take stock of various procedural hurdles in the land acquisition process of land acquisition for the two Fauji (sainik) colonies being raised by the Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Services League.
The said meeting was convened in response to the request of President Jammu & Kashmir Ex-Services League, Maj Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Ex MLC.
This high level meeting was attended by DDC Samba R.K. Varma, Addl Commissioner (R) cum Collector Jammu Sher Singh and ADC, Jammu Sushma. Maj Gen Jamwal briefly covered the delaying obstacles and presented the requisite demands for early finalisation of the land acquisition process. "The details of the projects were elaborated by Joint Chairman Col (Retd) K S Jamwal while Sr Secy Col (Retd) Dr Virendra K Sahi explained the various procedural and functional difficulties and hold ups. A detailed presentation file and memorandum was presented by the delegation to the Divisional Commissioner, spokesperson said.
The Divisional Commissioner after hearing the ex-servicemen (ESM) delegation and the administrative details directed both DDC's to frame a time bound action plan and gave on spot decisions and colander for various actions to complete time bound demarcation at Kargil Vihar, provision of connecting approach roads and clearance of legal cases and other hold ups in a time bound manner and expediting handing over of land at Rajinder Vihar as per land award order. |
