| NC, Congress Govt betrays people: Manhas | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: Accusing NC-Congress coalition government of discriminating with minority community in erstwhile Doda district in matters related to development, welfare and security, BJP senior leader Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the people are living in clouds of insecurity and are fed-up with the ruling NC and Congress as they feel betrayed.
Manhas, while addressing a massive public gathering in Doda town, said that there is widespread resentment among the members of minority community in these hilly areas which have passed through hard times of militancy during the last over 23 years.
He said that the minority community have been targeted again and again not only by the militants but a handful of members from the majority community too have been making attempts to create wedge between the two communities and give rise to communal tensions but the peace loving people of Doda have always maintained communal harmony and both the communities have been living in cordial atmosphere despite the fact that some mischievous elements have time and again tried to create disturbances.
