| Dimple apprises Minister about worsening conditions of roads | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 9: A high level delegation meeting was held with Abdul Majid Wani the PWD R&B minister and Tanbeer Jahan the Commissioner Secy PWD R&B led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement in the civil secretariat who apprised them about the worst rising traffic problem, and the worst condition of the roads of the winter capital Jammu city, region, and particularly of the localities of the Jammu West constituency. Sunil Dimple accused the Govt responsible for the worst traffic scenario in the Jammu city only. Assurances have been given by the govt from time to time to the people in meetings for the improvement of the traffic scenario, but till today no steps has been taken up, he alleged. Dimple demanded from Abdul Majid Wani PWD R& B minister for the construction of the fly overs at Rehari Chungi and Jewal Chowk. He said no Govt agency ERA, PWD, R&B, JMC, JDA, Traffic department owns the responsibly of works with coordination. Dimple told Wani that the condition of the roads of all the localities of the west constituency are deplorable and only patch work, have been done on the name of the development in the last five years and the people have become helpless and leading miserable lives. He requested the minister to visit personally and have the round of the constituency and Jammu city and see the worst condition of the traffic and the condition of the roads. He urged the minister to come up with the time bound policy to solve the worsening traffic problem in the region and city and accused all the PWD, R&B, ERA, Traffic departments, Jammu Municipal Corporation, JDA & the Govt, have completely failed to come up with any constructive plan to solve the worsening traffic problem of the city. He demanded construction of multi storied parking at Panjtirthi, Super Bazaar Shalamar and at bus stand Jammu. |
