| Politician backed ASI breaches discipline, refuses to respect senior officers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 9: Backed by a politician, an Assistant Sub-Inspector, posted in Railway Police has become a cause of nuisance and embarrassment for the entire police department. If the sources are to be believed, he is being accused of mudslinging on senior officers of police. An inquiry against him is in progress at Pattan in district Baramulla by a DySP rank officer. ASI Feroz Giri of Kishtwar came in the eye of senior most police officers following his complaint of misconduct and of mudslinging on senior police officers allegedly to settle personal scores. An inquiry against him started when he displaying misconduct and ignoring decorum of police wrote against an IGP, SP and DySP rank officers on official document of police namely Daily Diary Report (Rojnamcha). ASI displayed misconduct following his transfer to Kashmir from Jammu zone after number of complaints against him including corruption and encroachment of land at Sidhra. Cop was attached to GRP Katra from his home town following a strong protest against him by the people on the allegations of land encroachment and corruption. Ex-Minister, who is believed to be close to ASI, sensing danger to his vote bank, managed his transfer and accordingly he was posted in GRP Jammu. The process of mudslinging started by cop when his Godfather, based on the report of inquiry officer, was irked, thus made his transfer effective. Cop in question started levelling allegations against then DySP Headquarters Kishtwar who was inquiry officer at that time. Cop later using his influence, managed his attachment at Katra. His zone was changed as punishment following complaint of corruption and land encroachment against him. On reaching Pattan, the ASI, instead of writing his arrival report, levelled allegations against IGP, SP and DySP rank persons. Earlier also, this cop, levelled allegations against a DySP rank officer, who happens to be his nephew. The DySP lodged complaint of land encroachment against him. Based on the complaints of misconduct, an inquiry against him was initiated. Meanwhile, highly placed sources said that senior police officers have written for his disengagement from service. |
