Documentary proof available with Early Times says that 21,333 Kashmiri Pandit families live in the other parts from Delhi to Tamil Nadu. Interestingly none of Muslim or Sikh families are living as migrants in the other parts of country although hundreds of families of these two communities are living as migrants in Jammu, winter capital of the state.

In the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, 11 families of Kashmiri Pandits are living as migrants while as in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu just a single Kashmiri Pandit family is living as a migrant family.
The documents say that 40,497 Kashmiri Pandit families are registered as migrants at the office of Relief Commissioner (Migrants) in Jammu. Out of this 18,292 families are entitled to relief since they are registered under the relief category. More than 50 percent that is 22,205 families are not entitled to relief since they are registered under the non-relief category at the office of Relief Commissioner (Migrants).
The documents say that 1054 families have migrated in the Jammu division and they too have been registered as migrants under the title Jammu migrants. Out of this, 486 families have migrated in the Reasi district while as 225 families have migrated from the Ramban district.
