| With arrest of victim’s uncle, police claims to have cracked murder mystery | | | Early Times Report
Ra jouri, Nov 9: Police have cracked the blind murder mystery of a minor student of class 8th who was found dead in general forest area adjoining to village Kotdhara- Rajouri on October10 with the arrest of uncle of the deceased.
"Mir Hussain , uncle of the deceased Omar Rehman was questioned, police sources said furrher adding, "he had admitted that he had killed the boy however he yet has not disclosed whether he was responsible for the crime or somebody else had hired him to commit the murder of 8th class student.
A senior police officer said that police had cracked the murder mystery after it succeeded in identifying Mohd Shabir resident of Dhanore (Rajouri) who had supplied the rope a circumstantial evidence of the crime.
Mohd Shabir had also told the police that the rope was tied in the neck of a calf which he had sold to Mir Hussain few months back.
The accused Mir Hussain, uncle of the deceased has admitted the crime after more than 25 day's sustained interrogation that too when Mohd Shabir was produced before the accused by the police.
Police sources also said that after the Mir Hussain has admitted the crime his wife Nageena Behggam also was questioned and she too has admitted that his husband had committed the crime.
Pertinently minor 'Omar Rehaman' had gone to his uncle Mir Hussain's house at Kotdhara on October,10 and next day he was found hanged from a tree. Sources said Mir Hussain told the police that on October11 when boy left his house in the morning, he chased him when he preferred the shorter route i.e. forest he took the opportunity and strangulated with a rope and then hanged the boy from a tree.
Sources also said that Mir Hussain however had not spilled the beans during sustained interrogation till Shabir was not produced before him who hinted that he had sold the calf with the same rope to Mir Hussain and then he broke down.
Meanwhile Police on Thursday also rounded up Nageena Begam wife of Mir Hussain who also admitted before the police that her husband had committed the crime. Mir Hussain has been booked in the murder of a 15 years old boy under section 302 RPC and was in a process to identify /book other persons, if any, involve in the murder of Omar Rehaman. |
