Police foil bovine smuggling bid

JAMMU, Nov 10: Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt by rescuing 5 bovines and arresting two persons, who were transporting the bovines from Domana to Srinagar, at Chinore here today. According to police sources, based on reliable information, a party of Police Station Domana laid a surprise naka at Chinore and intercepted two Tata Mobile Vans bearing registration numbers JK02 AX-6806 and JK02 AN-1265. The arrested drivers of the both the vehicles were identified as Asgar Ali, son of Mohd Safi and Abdul Majid, son of Rehmat Ali both residents of Nagrota. A case FIR No 411/13 U/S 188/RPC, 2/ 3 PCA Act was registered and further investigation of the case is going on.
