Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 10: At a time when PYC is entangled in a bitter internal bickering, interestingly it has opened a front against its own government accusing it of neglecting Majalta tehsil of Ramnagar in particular.
A PYC general secretary of the area in ignorant of the fact that his own party is a partner in the ruling coalition has charged the government of over underdevelopment, lack of accountability and misgovernance in Ramnagar Assembly segment.
R. S. Pathania, General Secretary, J & K Pradesh Youth Congress, while conducting a whirlwind tour of the area and addressing largely-attended meetings at Jakhenu, Palnu, Sortha, Khoon, Thail and many other villages of Majalta Tehsil has expressed concern that area has lagged behind in fields of women empowerment, upliftment of weaker sections, professional education creation of employment opportunities, promoting tourism, clean drinking water, uninterrupted and proper-voltage electricity, sanitation and cleanliness, basic education primary healthcare and animal care, public transport, poverty reduction, disaster management, etc. hinting at the neglect and apathy of the government in which his own party is a partner.
Further raising a finger at the obvious apathetical attitude of the government, he said that least heed has been paid towards addressing demands of a Degree College & ITI College at Majalta, Tehsil at Basantgarh, Niabats at Dudu and Basantgarh, and bringing picturesque spots of Ramnagar on tourism-map; Almost all the link-roads in the area non-macadamized lying in shambles. In 90 % cases, affected families are yet to receive compensation for their acquired lands and other public structures; There is no village in the Assembly segment which has 100 % provision of clean drinking water, voluble electricity supply. Almost all the filtration tanks in the area are not functioning people are forced to drinking contaminated water thereby expose themselves to graver health risks.
The PYC leader also expressed indifference of the government in the fields of health care, Education, Law and order and employment.
