JAMMU, Nov 10: The formidable side of Pallanwala Club shall take on Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bishnah in the title clash of the Jammu District Volleyball Championship at MA Stadium, here tomorrow.
The final is scheduled to take place at 3.30 pm at the same venue. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, Pallanwala defeated Pinto Club in straight easy sets of 25-08, 25-09. To reach the final, GHSS Bishnah defeated Trikuta Club 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19).
Meanwhile, in girls section, Trikuta Club shall be playing against Army Public School (APS) Bidi-Bari Club in the final tomorrow.
In the semifinals, APS Bidi Bari outplayed Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar 3-2 in a tough contest. The score: 17-25, 24-26, 25-17,25-12,15-05.
The second semifinal won by Trikuta Club after they beat their opponent again 3-2 (25-12, 19-25, 25-22, 23-25, 16-14.
Today's quarterfinals and semifinals were officiated by the technical penal including Amarjeet Singh, Mulkh Raj Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Balwinder Singh and Jewan. |
