JKDF Sewa Dal organises free eye check up camp

Jammu, Nov 10: JKDF Sewa Dal today organised a free eye check up camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu.
Nearly about 1500 people took the benefit of Free Eye Care Camp and got the free spectacles. Also on the occasion 6 Wheel Chairs were distributed among the handicapped persons.
Earlier in the morning hundreds of people and JKDF Sewa Dal activists from East Zone, West Zone , Marh Block, including all the ward presidents and senior leaders of party gathered inside the venue of Camp.
JKDF state president Anil Gupta inaugurated the eye care camp in presence of Chaman Lal Gupta (former Union Minister and MLA), who was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chaman Lal Gupta along with Anil Gupta distributed the 1500 spectacles and 6 Wheel Chairs among the beneficiaries who have earlier applied for the same by filling up a form. Eye testing has been carried out by renowned and qualified eye specialist.
While appreciating the efforts of JKDF Sewa Dal Gupta said, "I welcome the goodwill gesture of JKDF Sewa Dal which has taken the noble mission of serving the helpless and destitute.
The initiative of selfless service to mankind extended by the young men to poor, needy and helpless people have a potential to transform the current social set up and leave an example for the young generation that nation could only prosper when there is collective good." I hope JKDF shall leave no stone unturned to reach out and help the people who are the sufferers of natural calamities, disasters, communal frenzies and life consuming diseases."
While addressing the gathering Anil Gupta said, "The objective of Sewa Dal is to extend helping hand to needy, destitute, orphans, physically handicapped, blinds, old aged, victims of natural calamities/unforeseen incidents and other persons who are suffering from serious ailments. The newly constituted group comprising of young blood shall reach out to the suffering people especially to neglected and unnoticed people living miserable life due to various problems in their life. To further this aim JKDF Sewa Dal shall organize such events in future also. "
