Burning problems of Plus 2 community be resolved at earliest: Forum

Jammu, Nov 10: The monthly meeting of the District Udhampur unit of Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum was held in the Forum's Office at Udhampur. The meeting, attended by the members of Plus 2 community was presided over by Arunesh Kumar District President of the Forum.
The participants deliberated over the burning problems faced by the Plus 2 Community and also the current scenario of the education. They hailed the Dy CM and Minister School Education Department for constituting State Advisory Board for the formulation of a new education policy for the state to enable the students of this state to face the challenges of fast changing time and compete with the best of students from the other states.
The demands which came up for discussions included non-vocational status for 10 + 2 Principals, parity in the pay scale of lecturers in physical education, restoration of 40% promotional quota to Higher Education, early adjustment of newly promoted masters and lecturers, issuance of the list of promotion of Lecturers to Sr. Lecturers and Sr. Lecturers to Principals, enhancement of grade pay of principals at par with their counter parts in JNVs & K.Vs, appointment of Chairman JKBOSE, regularization of I/C Joint Directors, I/C CEO's, I/C Principals , left out I/C Lecturers and other officers in the school education department, re-organization of the Directorate of School Education etc..
Speaking on the occasion Arunesh Kumar shared the concern of the speakers and demanded that the burning problems of Plus 2 community be resolved at the earliest.
He also stressed for fast track recruitment of Lecturers & Teachers by the recruitment agencies and then filling up of the vacancies of various cadres of School Education Department for better results.
He also demanded repatriation of Principals and Lecturers who have completed their tenure in Ladakh/Kargil to their home districts at the earliest and also stressed that the policy for frontier Distts should be adhered strictly as per norms.
