Residents of village Chak Luddan hold protest against dumping of industrial waste

Kathua, Nov 10: Residents of village Chak Luddan today held protest demonstration to highlight the problems caused due to dumping of industrial waste surrounding the village creating inconvenience to the local residents. Led by Labba Choudhary said that from the last few days industrial waste is being dumped in the village surroundings as a result of which people are suffering a lot. "The waste is emanating foul smell which is irritating and people are suffering from the respiratory as well skin diseases," he added. "Neither we will allow nor tolerate that our children to suffer from such sort of chemicals anymore," said Pushpa Devi resident of the village. She further said that besides giving warnings to management of Industry, the dumping of chemical waste is still on. "We demand the Pollution Control Department to take a notice of this thing act accordingly against the related industry, which is making their lives in danger," She alleged.
