| Sharma seeks peoples' support to pursue agenda of peace, development | | |
RAJOURI, Nov 10: Seeking support of the people for the coming Lok Sabha elections, Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) today reiterated its commitment to establish a new system of justice and equality. Party assured that PDP representatives would effectively take up peoples' issues in the Parliament.
Addressing series of public meetings at Ward number 5, Sathalkote and Dharswana areas of Rajouri assembly segment, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, MLC Yash Pal Sharma said that his party is seeking support of the people to aggressively pursue the agenda of peace, dignity, stability and prosperity for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Pointing out that policies and programmes of PDP are formulated to address aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the State, Sharma said that PDP had proved how to treat all sections of the society equally by providing equal opportunities of growth and development to all individuals. "PDP led regime had set an example of good governance and carved out a path of equitable development in the State", he said. "PDP wants to change destiny of the people of J&K and to set up a pro-people corruption free transparent and accountable system", he said. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Darhal and senior PDP leader Choudhary Zulfikar reminded the gathering that during its tenure the PDP led regime had proved its ability to change destiny of the common masses by treating all individual equally and by providing equal opportunities of development and growth to all sections of the society.
