Jammu, Nov 10 : Senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak today held Block Congress Committee Bishnah meeting in which various problems of the areas were discussed.N During meeting workers highlighted problems included loss of life and property caused due to heavy firing from across the border, students had to suffer loss of education due to closure of educational institutions due to the fear of bullets hitting their houses and school buildings. They demanded allotment of 5 marlas plot to each family in the safer areas as has been promised by the government, proper arrangement for shifting the people from the area to the safer places after identification of proper accommodation and providing proper transportation, proper arrangements of medical facilities including the Ambulances in the border villages especially which are at zero line. Besides they also demanded that government should make proper arrangement for harvesting their crops by arranging harvesting machines/labourers as they are not being allowed to go in their fields. Charak urged the State Government to take immediate necessary steps for the safety and security of the public and also make necessary arrangement for getting their crops harvested. He also demanded that compensation be paid to the injured persons due to firing from across the border and for their damaged crops. |
