| 'Delayed constitution of Bose selection committee, developments is stand-still' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 18: "Jammu Pvt. Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)" while communicating over the constant unwanted and illogical delay in selection of Bose Chairman & Secretary, alleged that despite much delayed constitution of selection committee, developments are stand-still while ignoring the gravity of a much sensitive issue. Every responsible section of state government and its admonition seems total non-serious over this sensitive and early selection process, association further alleged. Administrative lapses on academic front like failure of series system question papers and inadequate date sheets of different routine examinations causing unrest among students need an immediate attention of the state government, association urged. While quoting the unfortunate happenings linked with Bose working like suicide of a 10th Class girl namely Shimlo Devi of district Kathua in the year 2008 who was declared failed but after her death and revaluation declared passed later on and similarly the recent suicidal case of district Ganderbal boy of 12th Class due to out of syllabus question paper, Association accused the state government for its careless attitude towards this prestigious state institution that needs lot of reforms in its working i.e. Bose for a justification towards students. In view of an extra burdened administrative working in the secretariat office of school education department, present two in one top administrative management of Bose is unable to justify the day to day important students' related problems of three regions, Association urged. "Jammu Pvt. Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)" many a times raised its voice during the past more than five years for immediate reforms in this prestigious state institution i.e. Bose e.g. its immediate bifurcation is must in view of geographical compulsion of state & shifting of its central office problem with Darbar move all the times but sorry to say that persons at the helm of affairs seem least concerned for the required corrections of this prestigious institution due to which its National ranking has gone from no. 6 to less than 20 as on date. An extra ordinary active, full time and credible management at top levels of Bose can hardly meet-up the multiple day to day issues of over seven lakh school going children of the state of far flung hilly areas and system of shifting the central office always with darbar move just proves problematic, urged by Deep Singh the president of association. In that case, inadequate management at top levels of Bose is a matter concern and need to be settled at war footing, he further urged. Chief Minister Omar Abdulah while leaving aside his mute spectator role must assess the gravity of the issue and intervene immediately for early selection process of Bose Chairman & Secretary in the best interest of the state and to achieve his target of healthy & educated J&K, Association finally concluded. |
