Overloading of passenger vehicles rampant in Kathua

KATHUA, Nov 18: Due to negligence of traffic police, the passenger Matadors plying at Kathua are violating traffic norms unabated under the nose of enforcing agency. The lives of thousands of commuters traveling in these passenger buses have come under danger.
The passenger matadors on the Dayala Chak- Challa, roads are carrying the passengers more than its capacities. This menace is mostly prevailed in Rajbagh-baktha route, Hatli-kathua roads, Nagri-Kathua Roads, and etc.
The people travelling in matadors alleged that this will cause a major incidence and these traffic police men almost found to be active to collect illegal money by harassing the gentle people of the society inspite of to manage the traffic system by making it effective and efficient.
They alleged that administration has closed its eyes on this serious issue as no strong and effective measures have been taken by the administration till date.
Shiv Sena pays tributes to Thackeray

Kathua, Nov18: Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackeray) district unit Kathua paid floral tribute to Bala Sahib Thackeray on his first death anniversary at Kathua here today.
The programme to pay homage was held under the leadership of district president of Sena Narender Tangri in which hundreds of activists of the Sena paid floral tribute to Bala Sahib Thackeray on his first death anniversary.
While speaking on the occasion Tangri recalled the great contribution of Thackeray for the upliftment of the people of the country.
Farmers hold protest against Agriculture dept

Kathua, Nov 18: A large number of farmers today held a protest demonstration against the shortage of wheat seed and blocked National Highway for few minutes at Rajbagh.
Protestors shouted the slogans against the agriculture department for its failure to provide them seeds. The protest was led by the farmers Sarwan Singh, Rakesh Chand, Ashok Kumar, Yash Paul, and Harjain Singh who alleged that the agriculture department has been failed to provide the wheat seem timely to the farmers who have been in wait for the last many days.
They said that the varieties of seed which are being provided to the farmer not genuine. They also pointed out the lack of wheat seed for which the government and department both are responsible and their negligence has forced the farmers to face the worst consequences. After the intervention of police the blocking was lifted and cleared the NH to resume the traffic movement.
