Valuables worth lakhs stolen from bank employee's residence

Jammu, Dec 5: A theft took place at the residence of a bank employee at Channi Himmat and burglars decamped with valuables worth lakhs. As per police sources some unidentified persons broke into a house in Channi Himmat and decamped with gold ornaments and other valuables including cash worth lakhs.
Police sources said one Inderjeet Singh Bhatia (an employee of Grameen Bank at Raya Morh) s/o Surinder Singh of 206 in Sector One of Channi Himmat lodged complaint that he along with the family members had gone to Ludhiana to attend a function when some burglars broke open the house. Quoting complainant, police said that the burglars decamped with Rs 40, 000 cash, 40 tola gold ornaments, one LCD, two LPG cylinders, two invertor batteries, and one laptop. Police have registered a case in this regard.

Three-storeyed building gutted at Balgarn
Kishtwar, Dec 5: In a tragic fire incident at Foongwari of Balgaran village in Kishtwar District a three-storyed building owned by Sewa Ram son of Chait Ram was completely gutted in fire incident caused accidentally on Thursday afternoon.
As per the reports, as soon as people saw the flames coming out of the house, they raised alarm as a result of which large number of people rush to the spot and started rescue operation, but could not save the house from damage due to non availability of water and fire control equipments.
The people showed their great resentment towards the administration and fire tender service as they fail to protect the public property despite being informed on time. The village is said to be without proper road connectivity. In addition to this, one 303 rifle and 50 rounds belongs to owner of the house who is also a VDC member also gutted in this fire incident. One minor identified as Amit Singh son of Rajinder Singh received minor injuries.
