Vijaypur, Dec 5 : continuing its ongoing campaign for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, a women wing of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a day long convention at Swankha Morh area of Vijaypur Assembly segment.
Former MLA and president of the Mahila wing of PDP Shanti Devi was chief guest in the function in which hundreds of women from Vijaypur assembly segment participated. Speaking on the occasion, Shanti Devi said that women were the worst victims of the wrong policies of the present regime headed by Omar Abdullah. She also mentioned that instead of giving relief to the people by subsidizing ration and other essential commodities, this regime has even failed to monitor prices of such commodities in the open market. "It is all due to the rampant corruption the state government that there is free for all situation in the market and common customers are facing hardship", she said. Former MLA and other women wing leaders while highlighting policies of PDP, said that PDP is committed for the upliftment of all sections of the society.
