| Prof Hari Om appointed political advisor to BJP state President | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 16: Senior BJP leader Hari Om who had earlier served the party as state BJP Vice-President and Chief Spokesperson for years today was appointed as political advisor to the president of state unit of BJP here. BJP state president, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that induction in the list of state office bearers will surely strengthen the party. Besides Prof Hari Om, the party in a bid to broad-based the State Executive Committee and nominating Suraj Singh as State Additional Publicity Secretary, Abdul Rehman Lone (Kashmir) and Mohan Lal Prashar as State Executive Members, Bashir Ahmed Jogal as State President Scheduled Tribe Morcha and Puran Chand as General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir ST Morcha. "BJP's mission is to work with single minded devotion to join BJP Prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's Congress-free-India crusade and achieve the 272 plus target," State president stated today. He said the BJP is all set to win a minimum of three Lok Sabha seats in the state, including two from Jammu and one from Ladakh, and strengthen further the party's support- base in Kashmir where many nationalist Muslims are joining the BJP to enable it promote mainstream politics and neutralize the baneful influence of the pro-autonomy NC, pro-self-rule PDP and pro-separatist congress party. Sharma also had appealed to the people of the state to join the BJP crusade against corruption, misrule, separatism, communalism and the cult of gun, asserting, ''BJP is the only party in the country which preaches and practices genuine democracy and secularism and believes in the principle of justice and equity'.
