JAMMU, Dec 25: Ten days winter camp 2013-14 organized by NSS unit of GGM Science College, Jammu under the supervision of Dr. Rajinder Singh, Programme officer was inaugurated at Science College by Dr. Nutan K Resutra, Nodal Principal, Jammu division.
According to press release, the function was inaugurated by the principal in the presence of Parshotam Sharma, Vice Principal, Vaid Mandir, Amphalla and Dr. Jasbir Singh, Chairman, NSS University of Jammu, who were the guest of honour.
The guests were welcomed the Programme officer Dr. Rajinder Singh. A large number of NSS Volunteers along with some faculity members were present in the function.
Principal in his presidential address appreciate the role of NSS unit of the college for organizing this event. He advised the students to work hard by carrying out the aims and objectives of NSS movement. Dr. Jasbir Singh while delivering his lecture said that the energy of the youth should be channelized in positive direction for the welfare of the nation.
Every year, during this camp NSS volunteers spent few days in Balashram carrying out various philanthropic activities. Volunteers who were present are Rohit Kumar, Gagandeep, Manoj, Achal, Sahil Jamwal, Shubham, Shilpa, Pooja, Ifra, Preeti and many others.
