| SSP Vigilance says DHS will enquire, DHS says he is not competent | | 'Shed responsibility and problems fix themselves' | | Bivek Mathur Jammu, Dec 25: 'Shed responsibility and problems fix themselves' is the attitude adopted by the authorities to enquire into the selection of Junior Theatre Assistant wherein the aggrieved candidate has complained that despite being meritorious than the selected candidate he was not considered for the same post by a committee headed by Dr. Shashi Gupta as Chairperson of the said selection/appointment committee. The candidate namely Mohammad Safeer after being deceived appealed Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Commission Jammu and sent him an application by way of registered letter vide No. A RE829738430 IN dated 07-09-2013 but when the applicant approached to the SSP vigilance regarding disposal of the application, the SSP replied that the said letter has been sent/ referred to the Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu vide NO. SVO-Med-G-63/2013-11853 dated 30-09-2013. Following this, he (Mohammad Safeer) further approached to the DHS, Jammu but he was further told that the said selection committee was not under the control of him. Later on, the aggrieved candidate has again sent a reminder on 20-12-2013 requesting SSP Vigilance Commission, Jammu to take immediate steps with holding a proper enquiry and register FIR against the Committee as well as the candidate got selected to take action against them under law. The candidate told Early Times that he is feeling hapless under such circumstances as he is in dilemma over the future and claimed that the nexus to select the favourite candidate was such that the candidate was selected without the signature of Co-opted member, JMC in the final merit list of all the candidates. Pertinently, Safeer has maintained that he was deceived by a committee headed by Dr. Shashi Gupta, Acting Principal GMC&H as chairman of the committee when he had scored more than the candidate selected for the Post of Junior Theatre Assistant advertised as ME/NG/104/2013 dated 06.06.2013. |
