Theft case cracked within 24 hours

Kishtwar, Dec 25:- Acting swiftly in a case of theft in a local shop and chest of a local mosque in Chatroo Tehsil of Kishtwar District, Chatroo police claims to have cracked the case of theft in less than 24 hours after registration of an FIR No. 107 U/S 457/380 RPC. As per the details, police party led by SHO police Station Chatroo Farooq Ahmed Khateeb along with team of CID (SB)Chatroo after receiving input conducted raids at several places and arrested one person namely Mangu Gujjar son Abdullah Gujjar resident of Chatroo and put him to sustained questioning. During the course of questioning, the accused Mangu Gujjar broke down and confessed to the crime. Later police on the instance of the accused also made the recovery of the stolen goods as well as the cash. During the course of the investigation, name of another accused Rafiq Gujjar son Qasim Gujjar also resident of Chatroo also surfaced but he managed to escape. Police has launched a manhunt to arrest the absconding accused. Local police hailed the efforts of Chatroo police.
