Mehbooba welcomes DGMOs meet

Srinagar, Dec 25: Welcoming the recent meet of the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan, who held face-to-face talks for the first time in 14 years at the Wagah border, President Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti today said that the meet should have happened much earlier.
Talking to reporter, Mehbooba Mufti stated that the meet will have the direct impact over Jammu and Kashmir and that the stability and peace between the two countries is need for the tranquility of the state.
She further stated that the better Indo-Pak relations will benefit the state at large and that the same would help in the restoration of peace here. "We want that both the countries must develop the harmonious relationship with each other so that the state could witness peace and stability."
The PDP President further stated that the meet should have happened earlier and that the same was discussed during the sidelines of UN assembly session. "Better late than never, we welcome the meet and express hope that the better Indo-Pak relations would remain sustainable.
