Aggrieved family threatens to commit suicide if police fails to nab accused

Doda, Dec 28: When Police yet is beating about the bushes to crack the mysterious murder in Puneja area of Charalla Thatri when one Manjeet Kumar Bhagat's (24) body was found near Charalla river on Nov 25, the family members seemed much concerned over the droopiness of the investigation as they alleged the murder accused is still at large. Family members threatened if accused were not held immediately they have no other option but to commit suicide before the Police Station ,Thatri. Aggrieved family members including sisters Geeta Devi , Shivani Devi, father Faqir Chand and Aunt Suresha Devi and other relatives of the victim in press conference today alleged that even after one month of the murder of Manjeet Kumar Bhagat of Puneja village of Charalla belt of Thatri, the police failed to arrest the accused , whereas the investigations is also not going on with snail pace.
They informed that the deceased (Manjeet Kumar) had gone to nearby village to attend a function on Nov 24 and his body was found in Charalla nallah in pool of blood on Nov 25. Alleging slow pace of investigations, they said the case is heading nowhere just registration of a case. According to family members the body bore with injury marks on fore head , arms , rear side of head. "Even after one month and five days, we are running from pillar to post but the police yet have failed to worked out the case barring only questioning of some persons of Charalla and Puneja. They however threatened if they accused were not held they have no other option but to commit suicide before the Police Station ,Thatri. Geeta Devi and Shivani Devi sisters of deceased said their died brother was only the source of livelihood for whole family and family is passing through a tough ordeal economic and emotional as well. Alleging a conspiracy in cold blooded murder of his son, Father of deceased, Faqir Chand accused the police of not exposing the conspiracy and demanded from IGP Jammu to personally look into the matter and investigate murder mystery .
